The Ex-dividend Tracker Dividend Stocks in the United States

The Ex-dividend Tracker

Compare the dividend stocks in the United States by dividend yield, payout ratio, P/E, earnings per share (EPS) and dividend per share (DPS).

Beware of stocks with an extremely high dividend yield! This can be caused by a stock price that is extremely low, compared to the trailing twelve months (ttm) dividend. Or it can be caused by a special, one-time only super dividend.

The Most Undervalued And Overvalued Dividend Champions - January 2019

In June of 2015, I started a series of articles in which I highlighted the stocks from the Dividend Champions list that have the highest and the lowest Percent Above Average Yield (PAAY) over the past year and over the past five years. PAAY is a measure of how much a stock is above (high PAAY, undervalued?) or below (low PAAY, overvalued?) its usual yield and can be an indication that the stock is mispriced. I had to abandon this series of articles in June of 2017 because the program I used to... Read more

FedEx Expected To Lead 9 Companies In June With 20%+ Dividend Increase

Those of you who follow this series of articles know that I track the dividend increases of a variety of long-term dividend growth companies. Back at the end of April, I provided predictions for 13 dividend growth companies that have historically announced annual payout increases in May. I'll point out two dividend increases that I missed in my predictions: West Pharmaceuticals (WST) announced a 7.1% increase to an annualized rate of 60 cents. The stock has a forward yield of 0.66%. 21 Dividend Increases: May 7-11, 2018 (Part 1: Energy, Financials, And Industrials)

Monitoring dividend increases for stocks on my watch is one way to identify candidates for further analysis. Companies that regularly increase dividends show confidence in the potential growth of future earnings. I look for dividend increase announcements for stocks in the CCC list, but I use several screens to limit the number of stocks to monitor: Market cap ≥ $500 million No stocks that are being acquired No Over-The-Counter or Pink Sheet Stocks Dividend Yield ≥ 1.5% for... 17 Upcoming Dividend Increases

Introduction The information presented below was created based on combining the "U.S. Dividend Champion" spreadsheet compiled by David Fish hosted here with upcoming dividend information from the NASDAQ. These companies all have a minimum 5-year dividend growth history. The "ex-dividend" date is the day you are no longer entitled... Read more

A Mathematician Plays the Stock Market

Best-selling author John Allen Paulos demonstrates what the tools of mathematics can tell us about the vagaries of the stock market. Employing his trademark stories, vignettes, paradoxes and puzzles (and even a film treatment), Paulos addresses every thinking reader's curiosity about the market: Is it efficient? Is it rational? Is there anything to technical analysis, fundamental analysis, and other supposedly time-tested methods of picking stocks? How can one quantify risk? What are the most common scams? What light do fractals, network theory, and common psychological foibles shed on investor behavior? Are there any approaches to investing that truly outperform the major indexes? Can a deeper knowledge of mathematics help beat the odds? All of these questions are explored with the engaging erudition that made Paulos's A Mathematician Reads the Newspaper and Innumeracy favorites with both armchair mathematicians and readers who want to think like them.
