Upcoming Dividends; 89 Companies, 32 Increases, 14 Double-Digit Increases

Introduction The information presented below was created based on combining the "U.S. Dividend Champion" spreadsheet compiled by David Fish hosted here with upcoming dividend information from the Nasdaq. This meshes metrics about companies with dividend growth history with upcoming dividend payments (and whether those payments are increasing). These lists highlights the companies with a minimum 5-year dividend growth history. What David has done is exhaustively map the companies... Read more

32 Dividend Increases: January 22-26, 2018 (Part 1: Financials)

Companies can only increase their dividends regularly if earnings grow sufficiently. I monitor dividend increases of stocks in the CCC list of dividend growth stocks. I use the following screens to compile my watch list: Market cap ≥ $500M No stocks that are being acquired. No over-the-counter or pink sheet stocks Dividend Yield ≥ 2% for Challengers Dividend Yield ≥ 1% for Contenders and Champions This past week, 32 companies on my watch list announced dividend increases, including... Dividend Challengers (And Near-Challengers): 153 Increases Expected By The End Of March

In compiling the Dividend Champions list, I get to see which companies are nearing the anniversaries of their previous dividend increases. Since most of these firms raise their payout at about the same time every year, I can say with some confidence that they are likely to do so again. I have separated the Champions (25 or more years of higher dividends), Contenders (10-24 years), and Challengers (5-9 years) into distinct groupings, so please look for the other articles, which I hope will be... This meshes metrics about companies with dividend growth history with upcoming dividend payments (and whether those payments are increasing). The first list below was created to help facilitate my own investing goals. It provides a set of upcoming dividend stock opportunities. It... Read more

Dividend Growth Stocks Going Ex-Div Next Week (August 28-September 1st)

Introduction As a dividend growth investor I am always trying to track both stocks that I own and those on my watchlist. I'm mostly interested in companies that have a historical record growing their payments over time. One particular angle of interest is knowing when these companies pay their dividends (and if they are set to increase). This data is provided by analyzing the "U.S. Dividend Champion" spreadsheet compiled by David Fish hosted here. That data is cross-referenced... Read more

31 Dividend Increases: January 23-27, 2017 (Part 1: Financials And MLPs)

I like monitoring dividend increases for stocks on my watch list of dividend growth stocks because I consider such stocks to be candidates for further analysis. Companies can only raise their dividends regularly if earnings grow sufficiently. In the past week, 31 companies on my watch list announced dividend increases. This is an unusually large number, so I'm splitting the article into two parts. Part 1 presents Financials sector companies and MLPs (master limited partnerships) that... Read more

Stocks Going Ex-Dividend The First Week Of June

Here is our latest update on the stock trading technique called "Buying Dividends," also commonly referred to as "Dividend Capture." This is the process of buying stocks before the ex-dividend date and selling the stock shortly after the ex-date at about the same price, yet being entitled to the dividend. This technique generally works only in bull markets, and can work in flat or choppy markets, but you need to avoid using it during bear markets. To be entitled to the... Read more
